Send off summer with a bass-thumping, speaker-pummeling farewell at the rock concert/dance party that is the North Coast Music Festival in Chicago. Dozens of nationally touring artists pack the multi-stage set-up over the course of three days, and acts range from EDM DJs to indie rock outfits to hip hop emcees. The official after parties give revelers an opportunity to experience their favorite acts in a more intimate, club-like setting. Past performers include Snoop Dogg, Bassnectar, David Guetta, Dr. Dog, Zeds Dead, Gogol Bordello, Umphrey's McGee, Moby and Phantogram.

Digital phone or disposable cameras, fanny packs, purses, European carry-alls, and normal sized school backpacks although keep in mind everything will be searched and the more stuff you bring the longer everyone has to wait in line.  Lawn chairs, blankets, sunglasses, lighters, SEALED packs of cigarettes, sun block, lip gloss, empty clear plastic containers or clear camelbacks, staffs/flag pole type items (totem poles), umbrellas, and binoculars.

Glowsticks, large lounge chairs, tents, knives or anything deemed a weapon, video or audio recording devices, GoPros, e-cigs or vapor pens, open cigarette packs, professional cameras, pets, food, glass containers, aerosol cans of ANY kind, drugs or drug paraphernalia, unauthorized solicitations, handbills, stuffed animals, sampling or giveaways.

Weather can be tough here in Chicago, but the people of this fair city are tougher.   The festival will take place rain or shine and as all artists advertised have confirmed to play, sometimes the weather does not allow them to travel to Chicago.  In this instance, acts are subject to change without notice so it’s best to visit the website for the most up-to-date info.

Alcoholic beverages will be served to those only with a government-issued photo ID. You must show your ID to a festival employee to get at 21+ wristband.
